PRD Turning a rough idea into a real product requirements document
Every product starts the same way: as a half-formed idea in someone's head. This tool exists to close the gap between "I have an idea" and "I have a document that clearly explains what I'm building, why, and for whom."
Maybe it's a founder scribbling a concept on the back of a napkin. Maybe it's a product manager who just walked out of a customer call with six new feature requests. Maybe it's a solo developer who knows what they want to build but has never had to write it down in a way a teammate, investor, or future version of themselves could actually use.
The gap between "I have an idea" and "I have a document that clearly explains what I'm building, why, and for whom" is where most good ideas get stuck. Writing a proper Product Requirements Document takes structure, discipline, and — frankly — time most people building something new don't feel they have.
This tool exists to close that gap, for free, without asking you to install anything, sign up for anything, or hand your idea over to a third-party server.
What this tool actually does
At its core, this is a PRD generator that turns your input — however rough or however detailed — into a structured, properly organized product requirements document. You can read it on screen, edit any section by hand, and export it as Markdown, PDF, or a straight copy-paste.
Auto Mode
For when you have an idea, not yet a spec
Built for the moment right after inspiration strikes. You give it two things: your product's name, and a short, plain-language description of what you're picturing.
From there, the tool produces:
- Mission and vision inferred from what you described
- Problem statement and target users it implies
- Prioritized feature list with rationale
- "Considered, not included" — transparent, not silently dropped
- Suggested goals and success metrics
- A starting color palette and visual direction
- Risks and open questions worth thinking about
Anything inferred is clearly marked, so you always know what's yours and what's a suggestion worth double-checking.
My Own Plan
For when you already know what you're building
Instead of a couple of sentences, you bring the details: product name, the features you want, the screens or flows you're picturing, custom instructions, and your preferred color palette.
This mode doesn't guess — it takes what you give it and organizes it into a properly formatted PRD, filling only the genuine structural gaps rather than inventing content you didn't ask for.
This mode is for the person who's already done the thinking and just needs it turned into a document they can actually hand to a developer, a co-founder, or a client.
Whichever mode you use, the output is yours: edit it, reshape it, and export it whenever you're ready.
Built entirely into your browser
The AI that reads your input and writes your PRD runs on your own device, inside your browser — not on a server we operate, and not through a call to a third-party AI provider. When you type your product idea in, it never leaves your computer.
The model itself is downloaded once (it's cached after that, so it's not re-downloaded every visit) and everything from that point forward — understanding your input, structuring the document, generating suggestions — happens locally.
We built it this way on purpose. A tool for capturing your early-stage, sometimes half-formed product ideas should not require trusting that idea to a server you can't see. If your browser doesn't support the technology this requires, the tool falls back to a lighter, still fully local, rule-based mode automatically.

Why it's free
This site is supported by advertising, not by charging for the tool itself or by selling data — there isn't any user data to sell, since nothing you type is sent to us in the first place. We'd rather build something genuinely useful and keep it accessible than put a PRD generator behind a paywall.

What we believe about AI-assisted writing
A generated PRD is a starting point, not a finished decision. The tool is built to be honest about what it inferred versus what you told it directly, to ask clarifying questions when your input is too thin to responsibly build a document from, and to never invent specific facts — dates, metrics, names — you didn't provide.
Good product thinking still has to come from you; this tool's job is to remove the blank-page friction between having that thinking and having it written down properly.
A note from the founder
This is the one section of the About page that needs a real story — why I personally built this, the frustration I had writing PRDs, the gap I noticed. When you're ready, share those specifics and this section will be written properly.
What's next
We're actively refining both generation modes based on what people actually build with them — better prioritization logic, more starting templates on the Templates page, and continued work on making the on-device AI faster and more capable as browser AI technology improves.
